The WD-40 Company, a world-renowned brand, is seeking a Supply Chain Director to bring our purpose to life in Europe, India, the Middle East, and Africa (EIMEA).  Our global tribe creates positive lasting memories by solving problems in factories, workshops and homes around the world.  This position offers an opportunity to make our purpose possible by leading a dynamic Supply Chain function for our EIMEA trading bloc.  The disciplines reporting to this leader includes product commercialization, purchasing/sourcing, logistics as well as demand and inventory planning.

We are looking for an experienced and strategic Supply Chain Director, EIMEA.  The successful candidate will lead tribe members to even greater success.  We seek an innovator who is enthusiastically able to live our company values whether working with suppliers, partners, customers or tribe members.

As a member of the EIMEA executive team, the ETC (EIMEA Tribal Council), the contributions of this leader will be felt throughout 50 markets on 3 continents where over 30 languages are spoken.  With a team of four direct reporting managers and a larger indirect team, this vital role is responsible for the development and execution of the supply chain vision, strategy, goals, risk mitigation and operating results.  In summary, this leader will make magic happen.


  1. Leads and directs the Supply Chain Team in the development of short and long-term vision, plans, strategies, and goals to achieve defined objectives and efficiency improvement whilst simultaneously aligning the efforts of key external partners.
  2. As a member of the EIMEA Tribal Council, is a key contributor to trading bloc leadership team in the execution of organization’s mission, vision, and values. Ensures comprehension and adaption of executional plans throughout the EIMEA tribe ensuring that all stakeholders are aligned and operate within values and agreed operating standards/mandatories.
  3. Leads collaboratively with sales and marketing in the development forecast and demand plans and execution through the analysis of demand trends and promotional effectiveness to provide direction to the business on the forecast.
  4. Continually evaluates and implements improvements to processes, policies programs and supply chain design to increase effectiveness, EBITDA, asset utilization, service delivery, and compliance to support the trading bloc’s growth.
  5. Leads the complexities of multiple and varied regulatory environments, language requirements and dynamic market conditions to drive strategic business results while maintaining effective, efficient operations within EBITDA goals.
  6. Develop and maintain cost of goods management policies and strategies, prescribes the appropriate tools and processes to be employed by the organization, and guides teams towards the integration of a Strategic Cost Management discipline.
  7. Oversight and leadership to the inventory management function in the development of inventory planning and execution, SKU rationalization processes, and inventory control practices. Maximize the composition of inventory and increase inventory turns.
  8. Leads a comprehensive pan-European logistics strategy to identify opportunities for greater efficiency, agility, and gross margin improvement.
  9. Establishes and maintains systems, data integrity, procedures and financial controls pertaining to Supply Chain programs and initiatives.
  10. Proactively develops, monitors, and controls key initiatives/projects, budgets, forecasts, measures of success, etc.
  11. Oversees, communicates and negotiates with internal and external suppliers, vendors and stakeholders to ensure alignment with interests and results.
  12. Conducts annual OD assessments in partnership with the Managing Director and designated HR tribe members to iteratively evolve the function in alignment with business evolution.
  13. Provide strategic direction, leadership and planning for the trading blocs operational/supply chain risk management function. Lead the risk management effort including design, recommendation, implementation, documentation and maintenance of comprehensive risk management program that considers business continuity risk, financial statement risk, insurable business risk and other significant risks. Report findings as needed.
  14. Consults with all other functions as necessary to gain information and insight, build successful working relationships, to achieve results aligned with corporate and functional objectives, including EBITDA goals and leveraging of enterprise resource planning technology to improve efficiency.
  15. Performs other related activities as needed to support corporate objectives. Act in the best interest of the company by applying stated corporate values and priorities to all communications, decisions and actions.


  • 15 – 20 yrs progressive supply chain management experience with 7 – 10 years successfully leading multi country supply chain teams including proficiency with leading leaders.
  • Multiple trade channel experience required with consumer package goods.
  • Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills along with successful strategic planning and tactical execution.
  • Successful team building and mentoring experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in supporting marketing, sales, finance, IT, innovation/new product development processes, and project development. ·
  • Experience in businesses operating within EIMEA
  • Degree level education (finance, business or supply chain), Master’s level degree is preferred (MBA, Supply Chain, etc.)
  • Continuing professional education through conferences, coursework, etc.
